Getting to South Bend

Flying

The closest airport to campus is South Bend International (SBN), which is approximately a 20 minute drive to campus.

Options for Travel to Campus from Within Town

  • Uber/Lyft
  • Cab Companies
  • Limo/Car Services

Often times, flights directly into town are very expensive.  Other options for getting to South Bend include:

  • Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) - 2 hour drive to campus
  • Chicago Midway Airport (MDW) - 2 hour drive to campus
  • Indianapolis International Airport (IND) - 2.5 hour drive to campus

If flying into these cities, we recommend renting a car for the weekend as public transit into South Bend can be unpredictable and expensive (and takes a long time!). However, there are a few bus and train options available that can be found here.

Driving

If you plan on driving directly to campus, please contact Kati Schuler at kschule1@nd.edu so that she can assist you in arranging parking.
